Course Structure & Modules
Our diploma will include a series of beginner-to-advanced level modules. Each module runs for 2 months, giving you time to master concepts, complete projects, and build a strong portfolio.
🔹 Module 1 (Months 1–2): Principles of Animation
Learn the 12 animation principles, movement basics, and classic animation exercises.
🔹 Module 2 (Months 3): Digital Drawing & Storyboarding
Master character design, sketching, and planning animated scenes using storyboards.
🔹 Module 3 (Months 4-6): 2D Animation with Adobe Animate
Explore frame-by-frame animation, rigging, tweening, and scene transitions.
🔹 Module 4 (Months 7): Audio & Video Editing for Animators
Use Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition to add voiceovers, sound effects, and music.
🔹 Module 5 (Months 8-9): 3D Modelling with Character Creator, Blender/Maya
Dive into 3D modeling characters, animals, creatures and environments.
🔹 Module 6 (Months 10-11): 3D Animation & Motion Capture with Iclone , Blender/Maya
Explore rigging, lighting, motion capture and animating 3D characters and environments.
🔹 Module 7 (Months 12): Final Project & Portfolio Development
Plan, produce, and present your own animated short film as a capstone project.
Software Taught in the Course
Students will gain hands-on experience using the following professional tools:
Adobe Photoshop – Digital painting, character design & backgrounds
Adobe Illustrator – Vector art and asset creation
Adobe Animate – 2D animation and scene development
Adobe After Effects – Motion graphics and visual effects
Adobe Premiere Pro – Video editing and compositing
Adobe Audition – Audio mixing and editing
Autodesk Maya – 3D animation and modeling
Blender – Free and open-source 3D creation suite
iClone 8 – Real-time 3D animation, and motion capture integration.
Character Creator 4 – 3D character design platform for human, animal and humanoid characters.
*As part of the course, students will also prepare for and earn official Adobe and Autodesk certifications. These certifications are issued by Certiport, signed by Adobe/Autodesk executives, and include Credly digital badges you can share on LinkedIn and resumes.
